San Bernardino is located in the heart of Southern California’s Inland Empire right between Los Angeles and Palm Springs near the intersection of Interstates 10 and 215, stretching north to the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains. Neighboring communities include Ontario, Riverside, Rancho Cucamonga, Corona, Moreno Valley and Redlands. The rich history of San Bernardino is reflected in the complexity of the city today. Native Americans, religious groups and missionaries, cattle ranchers and gold prospectors all played a part in the development of the busy metro now known as San Bernardino.
